Overview
This one-day workshop covers the basics of making and printing an intaglio print, using both Drypoint and Milk Carton (Tetra Pak) printing techniques.
What is Tetra Pak printing? It’s a printmaking process that is a combination of drypoint and monoprint. You can draw/scratch lines into the surface of a wax coated cardboard and then ink and selectively wipe areas of choice to get tonal effects. It lends itself to gestural and painterly processes combining beautifully with the drawn line.
You can bring along recycled milk cartons or juice boxes to use as your plate, but I will supply the raw product also.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities.
