Welcome to RedShed News!

In our first year of operation, 2023, we successfully ran a series of 14 courses in painting (watercolour and acrylics), drawing (still life, creative and abstraction), 6 life drawing classes, plus etching and screenprinting. We mounted an exhibition of historically significant screenprinted posters/prints and held a free seminar on copyright law.

Coming up in April and May 2024 we have two new classes:

  • CREATIVE DRAWING with David Golightly
  • SCREENPRINTING – REPEAT PATTERNS with Libby Noblet

Both David and Libby are well-known and experienced teachers in their respective fields. We still have a few places left in each class, so if you’re interested see more information via the Activities – Classes and Workshops page on this website.

We ran three classes very successful classes in February, and were delighted to be able to show some of the output from them as part of the 2024 Open Studios Newstead.

  • Free-form Sculptures (Cardboard and Mixed Media) with David Golightly
  • Acrylic 3x3x1 with Marcus Hotblack
  • Styrofoam Printmaking with Jackie Gorring
