The RedShed runs a number of classes and workshops throughout the year.
 
So far in 2026 we have run: 
 
Fundamentals of Watercolour with Eleni Rivers
This was a one-day workshop which began with essential watercolour techniques through glazing, creating hard and soft edges, dry-brush and much more. Eleni’s classes are relaxed and informal.

Experimental Watercolours again with the wonderful Eleni Rivers. This was a 4-week course in which participants discovered the vibrant world of watercolour through close observation of nature.
 
Portrait Painting from Models with Graeme Galloway. In the first 2 weeks participants painted from an image, and the second 2 weeks they painted from a live model.
 
Art & Text with David Golightly was a 4-week course which explored the use of text in art where participants produced a series of works incorporating writing.
 
Eleni Rivers ran a second Fundamentals of Watercolour workshop for those who could not attend her earlier one.
 
Coming up in the second half of the year:
 
Marcus Hotblack will run a 2-day workshop entitled Sketchbook. Dates to be advised, but the workshops will be held on a weekday, a week apart. (There must be homework!)
 
Tara Gilbee will run two workshops – one of Pinhole Photography (13 Sept) and the other – Papermaking (4 Oct).
