Julie Patey is well-known Central Victorian artist who exhibits regularly and has been part of solo and group exhibitions in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Overview
Enjoy a one-day workshop with Julie to explore the character of paper as a drawing/painting support and a product you can use in a variety of ways.
The day will include discussions and ways to explore tactile materials and a playful approach to exploring creativity.
In the workshop you will explore watercolour, make monoprints, explore embossing image from textures both manmade and natural, make homemade paper from recycling old drawings, paper offcuts and Japanese papers.
No experience necessary.
There will be a 40-year Retrospective at the Newstead Arts Hub in August 2025.
