Eleni Rivers is a professional artist who has been teaching painting and drawing for many years. In addition to MFA degree at JFK University in Berkeley, California, she holds several art degrees from colleges in Australia. Her paintings, drawings and illustrations have been exhibited and published in many countries and are held in collections both here and the US. Based in Central Victoria, Eleni continues her journey in paint and poetry on themes of nature, place and belonging within the Australian landscape.

Overview

Get your creative expression flowing and explore unconventional approaches to landscape painting in watercolour in this exciting one-day workshop. Building on a foundation of classic watercolour technique such as transparent washes and wet in wet, the emphasis in this class will be on freeing up your creative expression through a range of simple yet effective exercises.
The day will include presentations, discussions and projects as we embark on an adventurous study intended to explore that balance of observation and free expression.
In addition to the supply list, a range of mixed media materials will be availalbe for you to try in your painting practice.
The day will culminate with viewing your several completed works that will hopefully inspire you to go on and explore further.
