Painting Processes

Marcus is an exceptional artist with an impressive CV. He has worked as an industrial designer, an illustrator and a teacher, and is proficient in oils, acrylic and watercolour.
Overview
The class explores basic techniques and processes of watercolour, acrylic and oil media.
Week 1: paint properties and application techniques
Week 2: watercolour layout, planning, blocking in and building a painting
Week 3: acrylic paint blocking in, and building a layered painting
Week 4: oil paint blocking in techniques, and building an alla prima painting
Week 5: completing paintings focussing on colour mixing
Week 6: completing paintings application techniques summary
Week 2-6 will use reference images supplied to work from.
By exploring these different but complementary processes you will not only harness new techniques and hacks but help in finding your preferred way of working and hopefully assist in thinking differently as you create.
