David Golightly lives in Newstead and is a very experienced and inspirational teacher. He has previously taught classes at the RedShed on Creative Drawing and Drawing & Abstraction. He holds a Masters degree in Visual Arts, Dip Art and Design majoring in ceramics and printmaking.
This workshop series will create sculptural 2D and 3D objects as creative grounds on which to paint.
The main aim is to provide artists with viable and affordable alternatives to the regular stretched canvas and paint boards.
Using cardboard cartons, ply off-cuts, canvas, calico and paper, students will produce a range of objects that can be used to enhance an existing studio practice or introduce newcomers to creative painting.
